Mermaid with the Patooties from Jocelijne Design

Hey everybody,  Today i want to show you how i made the mermaid with the patooties set from Jocelijne Design. I've made a step by step guide with pictures. If you have any questions please let me know. On the pictue above you can see which dies you need from the set. On the picture beneath you see them cut out of mermaid colors. But you can use any color you like ofcourse.  To give my Patootie figures more depth i use Distress oxide and inkt the edges a little bit. Also for the cheeks ive used distress oxides.  And then comes the fun part. Putting it al together. If you play a little bit lets say with the eyes or the eyebrows you can create so many figures with this set. Thats why i really love it so much.  I kept te rest of the card simpel. With a shakerbag and some sequins ive created a fun little card.  Ive framed them with the stitched scalloped rectangle frames from lawn fawn and with a set i own ive made some water splashes.  I hope you enjoyed this mini tutorial.  Please l

Let's Chill

Is the weather so sunny with you? At least I need to cool off and with that in mind I started this card. I was inspired by a card that was once found on instagram created by Isa. Partly because of this card I bought the Jocelijne Design products and fell completely in love with this brand. I chose to let this penguin I made with the Patooties cutting set go on holiday and relax with an ice cream (also made with the patooties cutting set). The rest of the card I made entirely with Carlijn design products (Slimline set 1 and the Slimline edges 4). To further decorate the card I have of course used even more Jocelijne design (Fruit and trees for the trees in the background and Happy smiles for the sun). For the text on the card, I used Lawn Fawn's Finley's Finley's ABC's and Claire's ABC's. Have a lovely day everybody, with love Laura

You're SUPER Dad!

You're Super Dad! This year I need 4 Father's Day cards so I started my first one just in time. I really wanted to create something with a super hero but I didn't want to buy an extra stamp set for that. So I decided to create one myself and of course I'll come a long way with the Patooties set by Jocelijne design! I started making my super hero dog. From the patooties set I got all parts for the dog and in red I punched out the head 1 extra time. I then cut it into the shape of a mask and made the cape with a piece of red paper. Before I put the dog together I distressed the edges with distress oxide black soot and gave him a blush on the cheeks with picked raspberry. Then I started working on the background. For this I used the brick stencil from Lawn Fawn and used the colors: scattered straw, spiced marmalade and crackling campfire. I also made some splashes with some diluted ink and white paint. I drew 2 lightning bolts on gold glitter paper and cut them ou

High tea Time

Hello Everybody today its monday and I have some extra inspiration for you with the Jocelijne Design products. This time I made another nice animal with the cutting set "Patooties". With this set you can create so many incredibly nice figures. There are already a lot of them on the website. * click on the set and you will be linked directly to the website. I have made a nice invitation card for a High tea. To get the card completely in style I grabbed an older set of Jocelijnedesign (teaparty 6002/1441) and poured a nice cup of tea. To complete the card I made an even bigger cup and a background with the new plaid stencil from Lawn Fawn. For the background i used distress oxides: Peacock feathers and Salvaged patina.  I hope to have provided you with some inspiration again! Love, Laura.
